Sneaky Critters

Don't mistake this for an actual Fakiegrind posting. We're just trying to lure out some more spam commentary, to study and better understand the nature of the beast. We may or may not return to regularly scheduled blogumentary once this little matter is cleared up.

I am not selling anything, or even trying to promote my own blog. I just sincerely love your blog. Reading Fakiegrind is pretty much the highlight of my whole day and I don't know what I would do if you ever stopped posting. Don't let a few stupid spam comments ruin this great monument to skateboarding, music and growing old.

I thought this site was about starwars?

That first comment is very interesting...the spam blog-bot seems to have composed a non-spam message in the hopes of dissauding me from shutting down Fakiegrind, thus reducing the number of blog hosts available for its parasitic activities. This indicates to me that a burgeoning self-consciousness--perhaps even a fairly advanced A.I. entity--is behind the spam conspiracy.

Like the HAL computer from 2001, the blogger network itself appears to be taking measures to prevent my extrication from the system. I'm not sure if I should be worried. My first instinct would be to hit the "Delete Blog" self-destruct button immediately and end this chess match, but a certain fascination stays my hand.

Now the virus is even taking on secondary personalities, like General Grievous, and including grammatical mistakes in order to better imitate human functioning.

I'm calling Noam Chomsky!

I thought I killed General Grievous!

After seeing the last movie a few times, it became clear to me that General Greivous was really the junk dealer Watto, surgically altered and placed in the insectoid body armor.

Certain clues, like his accent, his cough and mannerisms, and his strangely familiar eyes gave it away.

Don't you just hate spam? I only got two. Hopefully, that will be it. Hopefully. I'd like to meet whoever started this spam thing...

It's a shame we can't alow annonymous comments any more... But it does free up more comment space for me!

"Hey, I really like your blog about [blank]! I think we have a lot in common. Check out my blog on pyramid schemes and spamming!
